Did you know that homeopathy can help with a wide variety of mental and emotional conditions? In my practice, I routinely see patients make giant leaps towards achieving freedom from deep mental and emotional limitations. Some of them being:
Often, patients come to me for a physical complaint but end up resolving deeper issues at the mental and emotional planes. Since homeopathy treats the whole person as one and remedies are chosen taking into account the mental and emotional state of the patient, it often means that along with a relief in the chief complaint, patients often report back improvement on many levels, feeling a greater sense of mental and emotional well being. So, next time you have a mental or emotional issue, think of homeopathy as it can offer a deep healing at those levels as well.

Fear is one of the most basic emotions in human beings. Often, the cause of fear is embedded deeply in the sub-conscious and hence it tells homeopaths about the deepest core of a human being. It can be rational or irrational but beyond a given level of intensity, any fear can be crippling and can greatly limit one's ability to lead life with a sense of freedom. It can often create feelings of helplessness and be deeply disconcerting for the person experiencing it as well as for the immediate family members. Some of the common fears I see in my practice are:
Since homeopathy treats the subtle energy or the vital force which also governs the deepest recesses of the sub-conscious mind, it has the depth to cure these kinds of fears in a rapid, gentle and permanent manner. So, next time you see a friend or family member struggling with a fear or a phobia, please consider homeopathy as it has the power to resolve these issues very swiftly. So often, I am encountered with the question that 'what does it mean to be healthy?'. According to homeopathy, the definition of health is freedom from all limitations in life, the limitations being mental, emotional or physical. So, anything which limits your sense of freedom in life or prevents you from realizing your full potential as a human being is sickness and freedom from all such limitations is health. Homeopathy aims to achieve that ideal of health and does so in a gentle, rapid and permanent way, without life-long dependence on pills or medications. Some of the signs of good health are:
Homeopathy is a great way to promote healing and reduce recovery times of fractured bones. There are a number of remedies which can help, but three of them are particularly useful. I will describe their key indications so that you can use them when a friend or family member has undergone an injury leading to a fractured bone. Arnica Montana This is our anti-traumatic par excellence and is really useful in the immediate and chronic effects of injuries arising from blunt traumas (injuries from impact with non-sharp objects). Whenever Arnica is indicated, there will be a bruised, sore feeling and the patient will be afraid of someone approaching the injury (the patient is so sore, that he/she is afraid of someone approaching and accidentally touching the sore spot or something penetrating the sore spot). There is much swelling, with blue discoloration. Whenever there is any injury, this is the first remedy you should think of to limit any mental shock, bring down the pain, swelling and limit any internal bleeding which might have happened. The same holds for any fall which might have led to a fracture. Typically, the patient is in a slightly irritable mood and says "I am fine" when offered medicine or help. Bryonia Alba This is a great remedy to manage pain from a fractured bone as it has the characteristic aggravation from the slightest movement which is so typical of an injury where the bone has been fractured. The patient will want to keep the injured part absolutely still, and might be in an irritable mood with a desire to rest and an aversion to being disturbed. The mouth might be dry and he might have thirst for large quantities of water at long intervals. Whenever you see an injured patient averse to even the slightest of motion, think of this wonderful remedy. I have used it in patients with fractures and thanks to the great anti-inflammatory powers of this remedy, they have been able to manage the entire fracture episode without a single pain-killer. Symphytum Officianale This remedy has not been called "bone-knit" for no reason. It's use comes in AFTER the bone has been set into a cast or a splint. This should be the last remedy given (after Arnica and/or Bryonia) to accelerate the healing of the fracture. Most homeopaths have seen recovery times cut down to half or one-third through the use of this wonderful remedy. A note on dosage and typical treatment protocol: Typically, for injuries 30c is a good potency to take. I recommend dissolving 2 pellets of the first remedy (likely to be Arnica or Bryonia, depending on the symptoms) in an 8 oz spring water bottle, and taking a spoon from there two times a day for 2-3 days. As the pain and swelling starts to go down, I would withdraw the remedy. Once the bone has been set into a cast or a splint, I recommend going to Symphytum 30c, again taken from an 8 oz bottle of spring water where 2 pellets have been dissolved. This can be taken 2 times a day (1 spoon as dose) for up-to a week. |
